MUMUSO MINI-HAUL: KOREAN PRODUCT FINDS BELOW 200

July 02, 2017

Joon-jae the pink octopus is not included.

I haven't gotten over my Wang So heartbreak, so I thought a bit of shopping would cheer me up. LOL! I went to Mumuso (yet again) and that concept store really never fails to fascinate me when it comes to essential yet affordable finds. I'm not quite sure how many times I've been doing some hauls over there, though this is just the second time I'll be blogging about the products I've got. There are 5 items that I suppose you could pick up from a local drugstore, only these products are much cheaper, and more effective. Everything is just below 200 pesos which is what I loved about them the most.

So, let's take a closer look at each of these products.

1. Nail Polish Remover, Php99. This is perfect since I am too lazy to fix my chipped nail polish. I don't do my nails except for trimming, and this is because I don't know how to do it with salon precision.

What I like about it:
  • It has an orange scent, as opposed to the nail polish remover you usually have at home (acetone).
  • It comes with a pump so you just have to put the cotton on top of the bottle, pump and the product would soak the cotton. Neat, right?
When I first saw this,
I needed a moment to figure out how this works.
'Twas rocket science, really.

2. Aloe Vera Hydrating Toner, Php99. If you've been following me on Instagram, you would know how gaga I am over Mumuso's aloe vera gel. Aloe vera has a lot of skincare benefits, making the early Egyptians call it the "plant of immortality". The bottle (packaging) of this hydrating toner is also quite familiar, if you know what I mean.

It does look like the one from Nature Republic, right?

 What I like about it:
  • Unlike most drugstore toners, this aloe toner has a moisturizing effect. It leaves my skin softer and hydrated.
  • For 99 pesos, this is a bargain. I remember watching a video comparing aloe vera gels from Mumuso and Nature Republic and how they were exactly the same. Well, I've found ths exact same toner in Nature Republic, and they have the price quadrupled!

3. Silky Whitening Flawless BB Cream, Php145. I wasn't a huge fan of makeup, until I started watching videos by superb beauty vloggers. Then, finding for a beauty cream and other cosmetics that would work perfectly with my skin type (I'm combination) has become my ultimate quest. I've been looking for something that wouldn't look too thick or cakey, yet has a good coverage. This BB cream has so far been the answer.

Been looking for that makeup Wang So used in his scars.
'Yung hindi humuhulas kahit ulanin! Hahaha
What I like about it:
  • Though it does not have full coverage (there's foundation for that), I like the fact that doesn't feel too thick or cakey.
  • It has a moisturizing effect, so my skin felt soft and smooth after application.
  • It has that dewy effect, so this is something that would definitely work if you want to achieve that dewy Korean makeup look.
  • It comes with a pump, so I think it's neat.

4. Powder Concealer, Php99. When I picked this up, I thought this is, well, a concealer. But the saleslady clarified that it is actually powder, with coverage. I did some swatches of these using the testers and it felt too thin, again, something that I was looking for. I used the one I bought, and it works well with my skintone. Though the sponge looked sturdy, it smelled weird. So if you are someone that's OC about smell, maybe you'd want to use a different sponge.

There are two shades available, and this is the natural shade. It worked on my skintone.
What I like about it:
  • It works perfectly with the BB cream, and it really has coverage.
  • It can be used as an everyday makeup base (the package says so).
  • It has a smooth finish. Didn't feel or even look cakey at all.
5. Mineral Water Skincare Powder, Php149. Again, this is another variation of powder I found. The natural shade looked more perfect for my skintone, so I decided to pick this up as well. I just don't know what's with their sponges really. I feel like they all smell so weird!

You'd notice this is a bit darker compared to the Powder Concealer above.
What I like about it:
  • It has a smooth finish. Didn't feel or even look cakey at all.
So, those are all the products I've got from my recent Mumuso haul. Just want to let you know that Joon-jae the pink octopus is not included in my haul. He just likes to be included in the photoshoot. He makes a good backdrop though, so I guess it's okay. Hahaha!

Have you already gone to Mumuso? Can you recommend me other skincare products or cosmetics to try? Tell me about it in the comments section.

Spread the loooove!
